Exhausted Changes
I just got back from a weekend in Philly and I’m a little more tired than usual. Since I had a show there Friday night I wound up staying two nights instead of the usual one night at my drummer’s place. They have 3 kids who wake up around 5 or 6 in the morning and starting running around yelling crap about monsters and what not. They also have a new cat that likes to attack me in the middle of the night. What I’m getting at is that it’s hard to get a decent amount of sleep in that house and that I’m glad I don’t have kids at the moment. We had a good rehearsal this weekend though. We were mainly running through the set for our upcoming show. It’s probably going to be our last show in NYC for the rest of the year. We’re trying to focus on playing elsewhere and by elsewhere I mean closer to our drummer’s house and family.
Tuesday night I’m leaving for NH. I’ll be staying there with the other member of MPF for a week. We’re staying in his girlfriend’s family’s cabin. We’re going to be doing a lot of writing, recording and being jerks. I’m really looking forward to it. It’s going to be just swell to get away from everything once again and focus on music. On that note, I’m not going to be able to post anything for that week most likely.
This whole blog thing has been a really interesting experiment/experience for me. At first part of the whole deal was that I wanted to post something everyday as part of the quantity over quality journey. Since I’ll be taking a brief hiatus due to the circumstances of the cabin in NH I’m planning on doing things differently when I get back. I’ll try to post something every 2 or 3 days and hopefully it will be something more substantial than “I ate a sandwich.” We’ll see how that goes but I definitely want to make posts of better quality. Yup.
